Description
Under Monolithics & Castables, Regular Dense Castables are listed as SADUR grades. Raw-material bases include chamotte, bauxite or tabular alumina, with characteristics such as abrasion resistant, general purpose, trowelling, hot repair and E.A.F. roof. Application types include cast & vibration or trowelling; water demand is roughly 8–13 litres per 100 kg; particle size spans about 0–3.2 to 0–6.3 mm. Maximum service temperature ranges from 1250 to 1750 °C, Al2O3 about 30–97.5%, and bulk density about 2.05–2.96 g/cm³.
